Over the years I have had the opportunity to play several titles from Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Obuscure, Outlast, etc. But the winner is undoubtedly the Fatal Frame.
Well, but this favoritism doesn’t start on the best way because the first game i had was Fatal Frame 2 for Xbox and I wasn’t sure what I was going to get involved with, I think at the time I don’t know if I wasn’t psychologically prepared for this game or anything else, because I had nightmares despite playing perhaps the first few minutes of the game before deciding to throw the game away.
But one day when I went to a store I saw the Fatal Frame 1 and decided to buy it and started playing where I had some jumpscares but when I realized I had already finished the game and started a new one because I wanted to unlock the extras and complete the ghost list.
After that came the Fatal Frame 3 which is one of my favorites, where the purify light was a challenge because in the first attempts, the mansion is an authentic maze until the player knows where he has to go. This title has several points of view of the characters and each one of them has its camera adapted to its combat style. I remember that I played several times to complete the ghost list and unlock extras.
As soon as they announced that they were going to make a remake of the Fatal Frame 2 for Wii I bought the game without hesitation and loved the game that at the first time he gave me nightmares. This version has several extras that I found interesting such as Dark Return, Ghost Hand when you picking up items, Haunted House Mode, etc. In this version there are several endings to discover and extras to unlock as in the other previous titles.
However, I didn’t have the opportunity to play Fatal Frame 4 because the game didn’t come to Europe, but from what I saw on YouTube videos apparently it has an interesting story.
Finally, Fatal Frame 5 is my second favorite title, the story surrounding the plot I found quite interesting, having several points of view of the characters. I loved the new feature that appears on the ghost list where the player can see a video of the ghost past, but also with different endings to discover, in which I loved the ending Love After Death Ending.
It’s funny how a game that gave me nightmares became my favorite game ever, where now I don’t hesitate to play, for nothing in this world.
One of the things I would love to see happen in the possible future is a remake of these titles for PC. Or a mmorpg of this game, who knows.
I don’t know if there are rumors for Fatal Frame 6, but i will waiting with enthusiasm.
